Colorado Technical University
Colorado Technical University (CTU) is a private for-profit university located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was established in 1965 as the Colorado Technical College primarily to train former military personnel in technical and vocational subjects. It adopted its present name when it achieved university status in 1995. The school was acquired by the Whitman Education Group, Inc. in 1996 which merged with the Career Education Corporations in 2003.
Aside from its main campus, Colorado Technical University also maintains other campuses in Denver, Pueblo, and Westminster which are all in Colorado, as well as out-of-state campuses in North Kansas City, Missouri and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The university likewise maintains the Colorado Technical University Online. The university is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Colorado Technical University is comprised of the College of Business and Management, College of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, College of Engineering and Computer Science, College of Health Sciences, and the College of Information Systems and Technology. Each of these divisions offers on-campus and online programs. Colorado Tech Online allows students to learn an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees completely online.
