So, I've been rocking Benelli Montefeltros in 12 and 20 gauge since 2013, with both field and sporting barrels. Shot about 25,000 rounds through the 12 gauge and 10,000 through the 20 gauge, and guess what? Not a single hiccup. The field barrels are sweet for bird hunting, and the sporting ones, with the raised rib and porting, are killer for 5 Stand and Sporting Clays.

Recently got my hands on the Ethos Sport for some clays action. It's a looker, no doubt. But, here's the kicker - it felt pretty much the same as the Montefeltro, just a tad lighter. Ran two rounds of 5 Stand with both, using the same chokes and 7.5 shot loads. Got 44/50 with the Montefeltro and 41/50 with the Ethos. Not a huge diff, probably just the weight.

Now, the Ethos is a gorgeous piece, but is it worth the extra dough? I don't think so. Back in the day, I snagged my Montefeltros for $850 a pop. Now, they're around $1250. The Ethos, though? A cool $2,000. My verdict: save your hard-earned cash and stick with the Montefeltro.
